How you can activate a new Thailand Prepaid SIM Card?

In order to start making and receiving calls on your new prepaid SIM card, it is necessary to ensure that your number is activated. Different providers have different procedure through which their new SIM Cards can be activated. A common way to activate a SIM card is to try dialing any number from your new prepaid SIM card. Service providers usually write such steps in user guide which is enclosed in any new starter pack.

The safest way to activate your SIM card is to ask for assistance from the sales outlet during the time of purchase. Otherwise you can call the hotline or customer care line of the particular provider:

  • One-2-call (AIS GSM): Call 1175 (One-2-call Customer Care), or + 66 2299 5000 (AIS GSM Customer Care, for non-One-2-call users).
  • Happy SIM (DTAC): Call 1678 and press 7 for English or + 66 2202 8000 (Happy SIM Customer Care, for non- Happy SIM users).
  • True Move Prepaid: Call 1331 (TrueMove Care Contact), or + 66 89100 1331 (TrueMove Care, for non- TrueMove users).
